Blog

I think I am going overboard with the inserting of pictures, but as this a notebook to me I think I can do whatever I want to my Blog

Editing

Well I have some time so as this is my notebook I am adding some odd thoughts and also using the new features of the software that I use to write this blog.

Who knew that it was so easy to add pictures?

Updates

I am hoping that to day I can finish the layout changes on the Dirk Maggs website, and that after that has been done the site can be called done as far as this round of changes and updates to it goes.

I suspect that the next changes will be if I get new pictures of any of the voice actors that I haven't already got or if Dirk ever does another new radio production or and yes there are lots of or's in this sentence I get new information on any of the radio productions already featured.

Steam Gala

Well the weather is looking and so today could be a great day in that I am going to a steam gala.

Now I have never been to one so I am not to sure what goes on at a steam gala, the other thing is that it is being held at or on the Watercress line, which is the nearest steam heritage railway, and I have never been on it!

Looking at there site it look like they will have lots of different types of steam trains, so it will be nice to see all these old machines doing what they are best at and that is moving under there own power.

It appears that these events can get very busy so it should be fun.

I shall take the D80 and hope I get some pictures that are worth putting up on here.

Maggs Book

As you may or may not know I have a website, that is on a well known radio director called Dirk Maggs. In fact at this time it is the only website on a radio director and has been for the last 5 years!

The website has over time just got bigger, as Dirk creates new shows or I find out about old shows that he has done.

I have decided as the website is a living thing in that it only exsits as loads of electrons that I would produce a book of the website.

This I have done edition one of the the book was done last year, and had some 300 odd pages, edition two was produced late last year with no pictures in it as there are copyright problems and also cos it did not always print correctly.

So this years project is to do edition 3 of the book.

There are no plans to make the book avaiable to the public as I think I break lots of copyright rules, but there is nothing to stop me producing it for myself and maybe give a copy to Dirk.

So progress so far has been that I have found a templete for the book and have taken a copy of all of the website pages that would and do make sense to have in the printed format.

I have managed to layout the book so that each year is a chapter, then within each chapter each production from that year is then listed.

The first draft of the year 1988 has been done and it runs to 10 A4 pages!

No Blog

I see looking at this blog of mine that I have done what lots of other bloggers appear to do and that is not edit or add anything to their blogs for weeks at a time. Not sure why it is but at least I am in good company several million others around the world...

One thing that I still do is add pictures that I want to comment on but I dont want to comment on flicker, not sure why
