My Last Sonnet

 Blue Sky

A bright blue sky is such a joy to see That fills my heart with wonder and delight And makes me feel a sense of liberty And gratitude for such a splendid sight

A bright blue sky is like a canvas wide That paints the world with colors rich and fair And makes me want to spread my arms and glide And soar above the clouds without a care

But bright blue skies are not always in view Sometimes they fade or hide behind the grey And make me long for their return anew And wish that they would never go away

Yet bright blue skies are precious for this reason They teach me how to cherish every season.

Sonnet on Life

 Life

Life is a journey that we all must take That leads us through the joys and sorrows too And teaches us to love and grow and make The best of every moment that we do

Life is a gift that we all should cherish That fills us with wonder and gratitude And helps us to create and dream and flourish And share our talents with a multitude

But life is also fragile and uncertain That can be lost or changed in just an instant And makes us face our fears behind the curtain And challenge our resilience and our strength

So let us live each day with hope and grace And make this world a better, kinder place.

Sonnet on the Moon

 Moon Sonnet

The Moon is a silent witness of the night, That casts its gentle glow upon the earth And fills the sky with silver beams of light That make us wonder at its beauty and worth

The Moon is also a faithful lover’s friend, That keeps them company when they are apart And helps them feel each other’s presence and send Their tender thoughts and wishes from their heart

The Moon is a mysterious orb of power, That influences the tides and seasons too And sometimes changes shape or hides or glows brighter And makes us marvel at what it can do

The Moon is a sonnet that we all can read That speaks of love and wonder and mystery.

 Cat Sonnet ?

Was the cat sonnet that I uploaded to here the other day a real sonnet or not?

I don't know the answer to the question, I think I followed the rueka that came up after a Google search, but are they right?

I also dont known the answer to this question, all I do know it was fun to try and write a sonnet.

I don't think many get written these days as there really is not much you can do with them once they are written and you have read them, I did think perhaps you could set them to music?

But when was the last time you heard a top twenty sonnet?

and so it goes I ran out of ideas as to what else you could do with a sonnet.

Perhaps I should see if I can write more?

Cats are the creatures of the night and day, They sleep and dream and purr and play, They have a grace that none can match and eyes that glow like fire’s catch 

Cats are the masters of their own domain, They rule their homes with subtle reign They, have a mind that none can read and a heart that none can feed 

Cats are the friends of those who love them well, They share their secrets and their spell, They have a bond that none can break and a loyalty that none can fake 

Cats are the wonders of the world and more, They teach us how to live and explore, They have a spirit that none can tame and a beauty that none can name
