At last I have got a picture to load into this thing...

I was starting to think I was doing something dim. Turns out that my firewall was stopping things from happening, all without telling me.

So you know what that means...Yes more pictures

So what's with the Picture?

I must admit that I just grabbed the 1st picture I could, to see if this thing was working. The picture was taken as a test for the Nikon 870 camera that even after 9 months I am still learning how to use.

What's much worse, is that I have owned a Nikon digital camera before, so I really should know how to use it.

Still the results from it are, when I get it all setup right very good.

Strange things

Strange Things

Just been looking at my web site logs, like you do, that is if you have a website, for some reason looking at your site logs can be fun and also just slightly an addaction.

Anyway what I was going to say was that looking at my logs I have a website that has no links to it.

I have never put any adverts for it yet one of the pages on it is now getting downloaded some 20 times a day.

Now you might say so what!

What you don't know and I am now going to tell you is what the masses are downloading, and that's the bit that made me rise the odd eyebrow, that I have, (your number may vary) is that the file is call citrus and is a small book that I wrote, just for the fun of it.

The book runs to thirtyA4 pages and talks about all the differant citrus fruits that you can get and what they are and in some cases what they look like.

One of the strange things about the book is that first version gets downloaded more than the third version and thats the version that has the most information and some pictures.

I have yet to work out how people are finding the page , because as I said earlier I have never asked for if to be put on a search engine.

You have to keep yourself fit, and make sure you drink plenty of fluids!!!

One last thing about the citrus books is that the number and types of citrus fruits that are outthere did to me surprise me. Here in jolly old England we are lucky if we get half of the fruits I have found and wrote about. One of the reasons appears to be that there is no market for the fruit. The other reason appears to be that the fruit does not appear to travel very well.

I am not sure if those two reasons are the whole story, if like real life I suspect that the real reasons will be far more complacted ( spelling) so thats all I have to say at this time on my books called citrus.

Rewite the chemistry pages of the website so that I make it clear to one and all that what I have written may have to be checked to see if

3. It's in English
4. It's of any interest to anyone

Had to happen

I have now changed my templates for this blog 3 times in two days, its a pain as I have yet to find one that I like a lot.

So I suppose that I will just have to keep on looking for just the right skin.

There just changed the text colour just to see if I could....

Does it all work

Well, its slow but things are starting to make sense I think.

Wll I can know most of the time log into this blogger thing...so that's got to be an inprovement hasn't it?

The advert thing from Google, well not sure that I like how it has set it's self up.

The serach bar for Google I like but not were it has put it's self not sure if I know how to change it yet.

I was going to talk about the fact that tomorrow here in the UK its Mothering Sunday and Mother's Day at the same time. I then find out that the UK has always celibrated both days( which are seprate else where) on the same day whay that should be I don't know.

I do know that the sales of Mother's Day cards must be great for profit. The types of cards that you can get, that some how pass for a Mothers day card is , well unbelveiable.

I am sure that even 5 years ago you could not have sold some of the cards as Mother's Day cards
some are out right rude, silly, stupid some are even nice!!

What

So you look at all the posts to this site and you see that they are all within the last two days, and you say to yourself

Loser !

This might be true, but then as I am using this a a notebook to myself, its of no intrest to me what you think of all the posts that I have done in the sapce of a day or two.

One possable reason for all the posts is that I have a lot to say

Another is that I have to test this software and the system to see if I like it and that I can get on with it.

The testing so far is going well I think.

An earlier post started to talk about the DDW and I plan to talk about it again soon. I think its something that I need to get down in written form. Having an online notebook is great as I can look back and see how my thoughts on this subject have changed and deleloped over time.

If I am lucky my typing and spelling might even get better( I dotue it) or I learn how to use the spell checker that is installed as part of this blog software.

As you can tell I am not doing very well....

Now that's a really great title, well I think it is.

The idea behind DDW as I will now call it is to use the internet and anything else I can get my hands on, and that I have worked out how to use, to record in some way or other part of me.

EG how I think, what I think about this and that. I have come to realise, as I get older that how much of yourself do you leave behind you if you are an average Joe( person)?

The answer that I came up with for me was very little. I have stored on the wayback machine my very early websites, mainly becuase I started on the web just after www became possable, and the very first web browser, that worked was around

Why why can't I get this hello.com software to work?

All I wanted to do was use it as an easy way to upload my photo's intoo this blog/notebook, can I get it to work?

Well, if at first you dont' succeed, give up, so thats what I am going to do

I will have to come back to trying to put a photo up.

I other news I still have to decide if I want to put this blog/notebook on my own domain/website, I do have pleny of room. At the last count I still had some 1.5 gigs of webspace left.

The figure above should be more inpressive when you see just how large my websites are and the number of pages they have on them. At the last count it was over a 1000.

These other sites are only the public ones there are several more large test sites that are locked from public view.

I was just thinking, as this is also a notebook to myself I can make as many entrys as I want, this is cool I think

Photo or not to photo

Its something else that has been going through my mind. Should I put up a photo of yours truley?
I mean would it make a big differance if you could see what I looked like?

Can your stomach take the shock?

Will you view of the world be forever ruined?

Can my spelling get any better?

At this rate the answer to all these questions has got to be no.

The other very slight problem is I have yet to read the instructions on how to upload photo's, so I guess that will at this time be the main reason why there is no photo's

Well I suppose it had to happen, yes thats right some how or other I lost my links to this blog, and then just to add to the fun I did not remmber what my username for this account was.

It does not help that having a real common surname means you end up trying some strange name combinations to get an account to work.

Not much else at this time I want to say, mainly because I am still trying to work out if I want to keep this account. Or try to run it on my own webspace with my own domain.

Two Posts

I seem to have managed to post 2 blogs at the same time, which for a first time user is pretty neat I think. not sure how it happend but it did.

I think I shall now and go read the manual and see what I can and can't do with this system.
