If you've been following this blog for a while, you might know that I have a YouTube channel where I publish my music tracks. As of May 2025, there are over 1,000 tracks available.

All the tracks use copyright-free samples, which makes things much easier for me. The companies I purchase the samples from provide written confirmation that the samples are copyright-free, so that's reassuring, right?

Well, it turns out there's a scam going around where some people falsely claim copyright on these copyright-free samples. If these samples are used in monetized videos, the scammers end up receiving the money because the YouTube AI system, as of May 2025, can't yet distinguish between what's truly copyright-free and what's falsely claimed. The system is set up to believe anyone who claims ownership of the copyright.

It gets so bad that someone even posted a video demonstrating the scam. They used a track they created from scratch, but still received a copyright strike on their own music because someone else falsely claimed copyright on some of the sounds they had created!

Editing You Tube 

So just now starting to learn how to edit video's for use on my YouTube channel that I have had for eight years.

So far its a bit of a learning curve, but I have managed to upload a 4K video, clever old me.

New Action Camera

Just really a note to me I had a GoPro 9 which suffered the usual overheat or random shutting down issues, which I some how managed to work around.

Last year I took the battery out and left the camera for several weeks before wanting to use it again, I charged up the battery in its charger and then put in the camera, which failed to start I then tried all the advice on the GoPro web site and watched several videos on what to do if your GoPro wont switch on. The end result of all this effort was that I don't have a working GoPro its dead and I tried different battery's and SD cards but the result is the same in that the camera is dead.

I decided to look around to see what other types of camera are out there and what people think of them and what problems they have had with them.

After see lots of videos and reading lots of reviews I decided not to get another GoPro but to try the Action 5 DJI camera and see how that is.

Having now used it for a while its good, some things are easier to use that the old camera, something are different, but so far its been a nice experience.

Its had a firmware update and has not overheated or locked up on me, the footage that I am getting out of it is also very nice.

I shall report back in time on how its going
