BBC NEWS UK The best 'and finallies' of 2005

This is something that just caught my eye, and I said to myself that would go great in the notebook blog thing that you do, so here it is, not sure how long the page will be around for.

So its going to be just a bit interesting just to see how long it will last.

Odd Thoughts from a High Desk

Odd Thoughts from a High Desk
this is my other blog that I do, dut as you can see for the blog on 31.12.2005 I talk about the problems that I am having with it. So I will have to make a decsion in 2006 on which blog site and software to use.

beatmaka.com > Music > Recent Releases

Just a link to one of my fav music sites, ther always appears to be some very different music, it tends to be much better than what's in the UK charts.

I also found this picture, that I also like all I know is that her surname is May as in the month of the year but that's all.

I wonder who she is.

Nice Picture Number 2

These are two more pictures that I have found on my hard disc, I still do not know who the lady is all that I do know is that she is the same lady as the earlier pic that I uploaded the other day to this blog.

I have just found out that I can not upload 2 pictures at the same time using the blog this feature of pisca, I don't know if I have done some thing wrong or if that is the way that the software is supposed to work. Any way I have just uploaded the second picture that I tried to upload earlier.

Greenland Part 2

Found yet another picture that I took on my way out to the USA in Oc/Nov 2005. This is Greenland from 30 000 feet, and as I said in the last post it was cold. One thing that I have just seen which I did not see before is that some how or other managed to get a glacier in the picture, from the looks of it some melting has gone on and if you look real hard you can see that the Glacier is just not as big as it used to be. Is this my evidance of global warming, I don't thinks so, it could just be showing that there was not much snow or that the clounds were not as think and the sun has managed to melt more snow and ice this year, so perhaps if I was to photograh the same glacier again in say a year or two we would then know what is happing. Apart from that its a nice picture espically when you think the plane was moving at 500 mph and I had to take the picture throuth then plane windows.  Posted by Picasa

Greenland

I think this is Greenland, the reason that I am not sure is that we were on a plane that did not have one of them small screens which show you where you are and all that sort of stuff. I can tell you that it looks cold, very cold. Mind you the plan was at 30 ooo feet and it was only -60 centigrade, so not sure which was colder. Posted by Picasa

Found this interview with Dirk Maggs while googling around the internet like you do. The real reason for the Googling was to see where my websites are when you do a serch, I am glad to say that my sites are still first :) which is nice, but then as my websites are on very specalist subjects its not that surprizing that they are no 1.

Books

so I have a load of book tokens and there is a sale on in the book shops in Guildford, yes you can see whats going to happen can't you? Give me an hour in a well stocked book shop, well you can guess the rest, I'm in heaven in the end I come out with six books that would have cost me 60 quid, but due to the sale and one of the offers of 3 books for the price of 2 I am out of pocket to the tune of 30 quid. I must admit that all the books are ones that I do want to read and that several of them I have been waiting until they came in a paperback version. For some reason some of the books take more than a year to turn up in paperback, why this shoild be so I just do not know, but at least I have got the books that I wanted. So at this time I have eight books in the stack to read, which is good

Man Conquers Space: Website Updates

This is a website that I have been looking at over the last few years. I really want to see the completed film, especially as I have followed the ups and downs of the films progress ( or lack of it) over the years.

Some of the stills from the film really do look good. The film does appear to still be in production but no clue is given as to how long it will be before the film see's the light of day.

Even when that happens I don't have a clue as to how I shall get a copy of the DVD or Cd, but I shall have a real good go and see what happens.

Dirk Maggs Radio Producer/Director Credits 2006

Dirk Maggs Radio Producer/Director Credits 2006

This is the start of a very long job where every page of the Dirk Maggs website has to be updated, all by hand as every page is handcoded, why? It's a good question, the simple answer is that the site is very old and the other answer is that I don't know any programming and I wanted a site that would work on almost any machine that can access the internet, arn't I a real sweety, the real rerason is I don't have a clue how else to run the site with static pages.

The good news is that I will not have to edit every single page again until next December! great or what! So only another 200 odd pages to go then..

Weather

Found this great site that shows the weather across the UK

Dirk Maggs His Chronology

Dirk Maggs His Chronology ha ha Just playingf, wonder how many items I could do in a day on this blog.

U571 Lies, Dam Lies, Hollywood! James Follett

U571 Lies, Dam Lies, Hollywood! James FollettThis is a page that is from my James Follett website, this page is the most accessed on the site and has been so since it was put on the web. The strange thing is that the film that caused this page to be made was not all that good and it has rather discovered from view, and some how or other it managed this trick all on its own, which is quite a feat don't you think? There have been over the years a good response to this page, and that is one of the reasons that it has and will stay on the site. The other reason is to make sure that everything some one searches for U571 thay can get this page which will tell them and show them what is real and what is a story made up to make money for the entertainment industry in Hollywood.

Main Page - Maggsium

Main Page - Maggsium
As this is my notebook here is the book mark for my wiki that I am working on. It goes with out saying that the wiki is on my Fav director Dirk Maggs, the idea in the end eg in 2006 is to shutdown the Dirk maggs website and just have the wiki. One thing that I have had to do is set it up to only allow new content by registered users, as some people out there love to spam anything that has new or orginal content in it, why this is so I have no idea, its just one of them things I suppose. The current wiki is version 3 version 2 which was really getting well with content had a bad time and the database got broke somehow, and there is no way to save it it is still readable but you can't edit the content, which does make it just a bit of a white elephant, when wiki database version 3 is done I shall delete version 2 from the web server, so that will be some time in 2006 at the very slow rate that I am adding content to version 3.

James Follett Computer Titles

James Follett Computer Titles Did you ever play any of these games, I would love to hear from you if you did, also what you thought of them.

I suspect that I am now getting just a bit carried away with these new tools that I have found. But as this is my Blog/notebook I can do what I want with the pages.
