Dead Blogs
I did some surfing of the old web Blogs, and I have come to the conclusion that Blog pages die faster than websites, which when you think of how easy it is to make a Blog.
Just look at blogger for how easy it is to set yourself up.
The why should so many Blog sites end up with just a few posts?
Is Blogging a passing trend?
Was it cool to say to your friends, "Look at me I'm with it I have a blog nanh nanh"
So of the 20 or so Blog sites that I looked at, only two of them are what I would say were a live. (By live I mean a post in the last month or so) most of the sites I looked at, had between 1 and 5 posts.
Most of the sites seemed to have lasted some 3 months on average.
I did see somewhere on the net that the average website last 6 months, I suspect the reason being that you have to put far more effort into making a website than you do a Blog site.
I have not seen anything in the press about this Blog life span, gee could I be the first to have spotted this trend?
The other thing that I did notice was the trend towards photoblogs, spotting this trend is a no brainier, now that digital cameras have become so much cheaper.
I have yet to see a digital camera being given away with your cornflakes, but it has to happen.
