Still Training
So I am still training toward the marathon distance, but today I decided just to do a long run without increasing the distance that I have so far run.
I ran a half marathon at a nice steady pace testing how to drink and eat while running, I still have a lot to learn on how to fuel a marathon.
Saying that I have run a half marathon with no breakfast and no food during or water during the run, it was okay did it in just over 2 hours. Admittedly it was during the spring when temperatures are lower, and I also ran very early morning, such that I saw sunrise, which is always nice in the countryside.
So I will try the longer run after I have done the Martian Run due in Woking on the 22 June. Its the run that goes through the sand pit that the Martians' fist land in, in the book War of the Worlds.
