Fat boy Slim concert
So I was lucky yesterday to go to the Wembley Area in London to see Fatboy Slim in concert and I am very pleased to say that his set was very good, up to date and well worth the time and effort it took for me to travel to London and also to stay in a hotel overnight, which is something that I find hard to do.
The set that was played was a mixture of old crowd favourites and also new ways of playing these tracks with new material, the great news is that this concert was filmed so you will at some stage be able to watch it.
One thingsomall in all a great night out. to bear in mind is that I filmed the very star of the set some two or three minutes and the camera does not capture the sound 100% the base that I felt more than heard just cannot be captured, I have heard several of my friends remark the same thing.

Three in a Row
So I have somehow managed to write three blog posts in a row, (this could be a record for me, not that I have any way of checking) which these days must be some kind of record (and I do also like to repeat myself, well? why not?).
Hopefully this sudden activity has caused the Google system to realise that this blog has not died and that it is sort of active for me at least in the last part of the year.
Sad that I am also finding myself reading some of the older posts to find out what I was doing or thinking of back then. Also just how old this blog is.
What is more amazing to me is that Google have not done there normal trick of shutting down something that they brought.
I have seen a post that did list all the projects that Google released that shut down some time later.....

Oh no!
following yesterdays post I looked up my 1 follower of this blog, and it appears that he has died sometime in late December of 2020, this is very sad as i did like to follow his blog and his pictures on Flicker..
It also shows just how often I looked at this blog and his.... (I have said else where how I have not done much blogging)
So I am sad that I did not know of his passing,
I do hope that Linda his wife is okay and that has come to terms with what has happened and can remember the good times, especially the trips that they did together, as there are lots of pictures to look at.
Although I suppose that it will be painful so close to losing him to look back at the pictures, but hopefully in time it will just bring back good memory's.

My Blog Follower
Somehow way back in the early days this blog got a follower,
I was pleased that someone found me and decided to follow me. I did the good thing of also following them , but what was also great I like his blog content and the pictures that he posts and that he has an interest in Scifi the same as me, he is more into collecting, while I am mainly into reading about it.
It sadden me to learn that his health is not the good. In fact since his last posts I have not been able to find out how he is doing, I hope that he is well. (if I find out will update this post)
So thanks you dear follower Traveller28 for your time and pictures.

Wow,
Look at me another blog post in a new month, looking at when I first started this blog, it turns out that I started sometime in 2005!
So from 2005 and its now 2021 so somehow I have been doing this blog poorly for over 16 years!
As a Google project it's a surprise that it has not yet been shutdown. How many of their other projects do you know that have been running that long that are not part of their main business?
I don't think there are very many.
I wounder if there is a way to find out just how many active blogs there now are on Blogger it would be great to know.
Perhaps they use the data in all the blogs in some way and thats the reason why it has not been shut down or that it does not take many resources to run it, who knows? I am just glad that it is still working and that I can when I want to just dump Odd Thoughts from my height desk on to it when the mood strikes me.

A Voice
So is this a blog a shout out into the void, never to be read by anyone other than me?
I thinks so, there are so many blogs by so many people why would anyone find mine?
More to the point why would anyone want to read what I have said?
Dose it matter that no one other than me will read this? the answer has to be no!
I am not really writing this for anyone other than me, I may read this when I am much older, I many never read it, it may be read by one of those internet bots, what they will make of this I just dont know all I do know is that I have at this time and date put down some of my thoughts and that to me is great as now those thoughts are not lost to the moment the will live on for a while.
I suspect that at sometime in the future Google or what ever it is called at the time will notice that I have not updated this blog in a long time or even accessed it ( probably because I am dead) it will send a warning but it will in the end delete it and so my thoughts of today will finally be gone lost forever.....

So just to prove that this blog is still alive sort of....
Just had a new beer to me, which is called Shipwreck and its by Eden Mill brewery of St Andrews all I can say is that its a nice dink with good flavor and that it is 6.2% which these days makes it a strong beer?
Mainly as most beers today tend to be on 5% or less alcohol these days.
All I can say is that you can't taste the alcohol if that makes sense, the hops and malts etc are what you taste, so I can only put that down to the brewer and their skill.
I do wonder how they make sure this batch of beer tastes the same as previous brews, perhaps that is something I should look up?
Anyway it's a nice drink, its not a session drink, as it's far to strong for that, and I think it would cheapen it some what doing that to it, e.g making it a session beer, not that there is anything wrong with a session beer.

Still alive (mostly)
This blog is still alive, not very alive but still hanging on in there. I have found that I don't have a lot to say and as this is really me talking to me, as this blog does not get very many views from what I can tell. What do I want to say to myself at this moment in time?
See that's the problem what to talk about?
I don't have much to say to myself that I want to put here, are written blogs a very old thing now with Ticktock and such things? I don't know.
Anyway I shall try and look at this site again before the end of 2021......

Still Going
So this blog is still going...
Its just that I do not have much to say at this time as I am the only one that reads this its really more like an old notebook to me where i can jot down things I am doing or thinking about. I also post links to music that I have uploaded to YouTube.
Upload my music has become much harder as things have been altered to make it harder to upload content, (well thats what it feels like to me) I used to be able to upload in just one or two clicks, now its much much more and do I have the time for all that ?
No, I don't
so that is one of the reasons for less uploads.

Blog I am still a live Blog....
so,
This blog is still going, not that many new posts and what gets posted is from YouTube telling you normally about a new music track that I have uploaded. it could also be a new GoPro post, if I ever work out how to post the vid from the GoPro cloud to YouTube, if there are no Go pro vids then I did not manage to work out how to upload.
The good news is that I am still creating lots of music and have a backlog of 50 tracks to upload when I now work out how to do this again, as YouTube has changes what it like and so has the main sequencing software that I use, changed how you upload, in fact it has got much harder to just upload the raw music track.
It does not help that I don't yet have proper thumb nails for my tracks or even video, well with over 700 tracks how could I make so many video's?
So the blog is alive and if I can i will post the odd text blog.

Keep Fit Trance Trance Beats So welcome to a new form of Trance which I have just made up called Keep Fit Trance it’s not really that different from any other Trance apart from the fact that it got a beat that you could do a hit class to. I do like the second lot of drum beats in this track.

Dawns Glow Film Soundtrack Dawns Glow is one of the sound tracks to a film that never got made, mainly because there was no funding for the project. the film was going to be called “The Crowd” this track was going to be used in the first act after the Titles had finished and helped to introduce the main character early in the morning hence tracks title.

Largerita ( Very Updated Content)
Largerita ( Very Updated Content)
This is a great Summer drink (Yes, it's true that the UK does have summers, it's just they don't last long! normally 3 or 4 days then it's rain, rain and rain!) that with great food and friends is a very nice drink that always goes down well, and it is also a hot summers day drink and a hot summer is even better (But much much rarer here in the UK!), and a BBQ is well even more better! (hey English is my first language, which I am still trying to learn!)
So to make my version of a Largerita you will need;
( I did say to make my version of a Largerita! you may find others that have similar ideas, they are also worth having a go at, it may be that one of the versions you find is just what you are looking for! )
So you need the following bits and pieces, leaving any of these items out, will as you have worked in in what you make not being a Largerita!
Bottle of Mexican Beer
(For me this is Sol, as I have not here in the UK found anything else for sale from Mexico) (330 ml) make sure it's cold, (I said Cold got it?) if you have no Sol,(yes, and I also do bad puns!) I have found that any 5% (Alc vol) bottled Larger works, but for some reason the less "sweet" ones work much better, your taste buds might have other ideas!....(and if they do, give them a taking to.....)( make sure the beer is cold, you will see a theme, about cold here....so the beer has to be cold okay? got that!)
One shot of Tequila
(The best you have around, also without this ingredient you will not have a Largerita, and I mean the best you have (Tequila that is), your Largerita will taste much better if you don't skimp on the quality of the ingredients honest.....if you happen to have Patron Platinum, and who doesn't? then go for it, it really does make a big difference to the final drink, I should know as I have tried this drink with several different Tequila's and its sad to say that in the case of Tequila you get what you pay for, at least that's what my taste buds are telling me!)
One shot of Triple Sec
(Any make seems to work, but please do note that different Triple Sec's do have different tastes, and deep flavors so find one you like.)
One shot of Lime Cordial
(The higher the Lime content the better, here in the UK, I have found that Britvic and Rose Lime Cordial work well, for me that is (my taste buds again).)
Fresh Lime Juice to taste
(Not really needed, but try it for the first glass or two, it's a real surprise what a little fresh Lime juice can do to the taste of a drink.) No I don't know why but it just makes a difference!
Mix vigorously and serve with ice
(Well don't ask me why, but do not leave this out, as it makes all the difference to the final drink, you end up with in your hand, well to me it does...and I promise you, I have tried this recipe both ways and this is the best way (with Ice that is.....)
I have read somewhere that it deepens the taste, whatever that means!
(All I know is that it really does change the nature of the drink into something-worth having on a hot day, with lots of blue sky, your shades on and a BBQ near by...)
Now sit down, relax, make sure you have your shades on, enjoy a sip or two of your Largerita, chill and enjoy the taste and the blue sky and if you have a BBQ near by, enjoy a little snack to help with your Largerita.
When you find that your glass is empty, then do go and make yourself another! ( of course as your thought ahead you will go to the fridge and just fill you glass from the pitcher of Largerita you made earlier, because you know just how great a drink it is!!)
My Thoughts on all of this
So there you have my version of a Largerita, which I have to say it always works well for me.
I suspect that the better the ingredients the better the end result, but then, you know that don't you?
Also it's a bit like when baking, keep to the measures given, as it makes all the difference. (yes just a little bit over on just one of the items can change the whole nature and the final taste of resulting drink) (I have warned you, as I know from my own experience! that it can make a great drink, complete crap!)
Have fun and let me know how you got on, and if you can remember what Larger, Lime cordial and Triple Sec and Tequila you used, let me know, so that I can try them out assuming I can get them in the UK that is.

This is a new track made with a new sample pack that I brought from Amplify, so far I am having lots of fun with creating tracks. I have gone from doing no music to suddenly having far too many musical ideas.
No doubt in the coming days you will see the results of this. I also think that it wont just be the new sample pack that I will end up using.

how did that happen?
So not sure how it happened but I appear to have brought a new car which is a surprise to me its costing me any more money than what I was paying. The new car will be more fuel efficient, or so I am told, not sure I am really believing that bit but we will wait and see.
is it a good time to get a new car with all the bad stuff happening out there?
I just don't know.
What I do know is that I wont have to worry about changing my car for another couple of years.

I know what a strange thing to have happened in 2020 and its already the 3rd day of the year.
Anyway this is a text blog so that I can say that its still a live blog.
Will be interesting to see just how many blog posts I do this year, and just how many of them will be actual text and not a link to videos that I like.

Blogging
So I wrote the other day that I did not use my blog for doing written posts, that I mainly use it for give you a link to a new piece of music that i had produced and put up on the web.
While reading some other posts I noticed that other folks are also starting to notice that the written blog does appear to be on the wane, and that some blogs that people used to follow have become silent and that more and more of them are appearing to do so.
Maybe people followed the trend back in the day and as every one seemed to be getting a blog they got one to.
I must admit that sometimes it's hard to make posts because you don't have anything to say or what you want to say you have said already and probably have said many times before.
So I wonder what is different about the blogs that are old but are still going?
What do the post about?
I don't know the answer, but I could guess that one of the things a long lasting blog needs is a community and also regularity without those two things it will end as another blog that will fall silent.
I am pleased that I have managed to keep this blog going even if it's not a full text blog or a blog with lots of pictures.
I suppose in time Google will in the background archive all the silent blogs so what was written and said is not lost.

I noticed, that I have also reduced the number of Blog entries and it looks like 2019 will be one of the lowest years with blog entries in years.
Perhaps in 2020 I shall write more who knows?

As I don’t actually write that many posts, I tend to just tell you about the latest video on youtube.
