Other posts of the Lady
so do I do more posts of the Lady?
She does like me posting pictures of her, she chooses what gets posted, and she is interested to see which pictures get the most views. I did warn her that the blog is a small blog and gets very few views, she said that doesn’t matter to her, as she would rather have the casual viewer who is looking in the out of the way part of the web than people who are just following the crowd.
I can’t argue with her thinking, so there will be more pictures of her, you will notice lots of different hair colours and changes in style, because that’s just her, she likes to change her looks, almost all the time, we we meet up I never know what hair colour or makeup is going to be.

A new country
A note to me just spotted in the stats for this website that we have had someone from Finland look at the site, Ican only assume that they landed on the site by mistake, as why else would you come to a site that spends most of the time sat with no new posts for weeks at a time, and when I do post something it’s normally very boring.

I have just seen on the TV the queue to look at the Queen lieing in state if I believe what they are saying on the TV the queue is five miles long, and could take you 30 hours to get to see the Queen, I don't think that is something that I could do.
All I can say is bravo to them and hope That the weather is good for them.

Where in the World
So I looked at the stats for this blog and I was very surprised to find that I have quite a few visitors from France 🇫🇷 why?
I mean the blog is in English and is not a very busy blog with only one or two posts a day and nowhere near the maximum which is 100 posts aday!
Not sure how you can do 100 separate posts a day but I suppose that someone must have do it in the past hence the limits.

So the last few days I have actually used this blog and done some actual posts on it!
I know its mad, that I may have done several days blogs in a row, and I really don't remember the last time I did that, it was most probably years ago, when doing a blog was the cool thing,

I will admit, that I am obsessed with this person I think its her smile, when she does smile that I like, also she can also scrub up really well, when she wants to, which does not, seem to be all the time, not that that is not bad, its good that she does, what she wants and not what other people want.
I suppose that's why her still not wanting to say her name on social media is a running joke between us.
One day she might give permission, how knows, when that will be, not that I am in any rush.

Alchhol Free Drink
No Alcohol Drink
So I have found an alcohol free drink that is nice, but it is not a beer, real ale or a larger!
What that does not make sense?
I am not talking about soft drinks or colas...
The drink that I have found is by Erdinger and is Alkoholfrei thats what it says on the bottle, it goes on to say that it is a refreshing isotonic drink and that it is 0.5% alcohol by volume.
All I can say is coming back from a half marathon, this served very cold was just what I needed, do not drink it warm as it is far far better cold, in fact I would say the colder the better.
I know that the general advice is not to drink any alcohol after any heavy exercise and that its especially true for long distance running of which running 21Km is a long run.
But this drink just for me, anyway, did help with the normal dehydration that running long distances does to me, you may have the same or different results from running a long distance.
So have a look out for it , you may or may not like it.

Not that I will get to say that to her and I doubt if she would like to hear it being said of her that she looks very nice.
I suppose I should tell you a little bit about her, I will do but in another post to come soon.
As its early days in taking to her and she does not really like social media all that much, but I did say to her that it would not be on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram but on Blogger so she should not get too much S***T from people,
If we are lucky she might even let me tell you her name, we will just have to see how it goes in getting her to allow me to give you some more information on her.

Site Overload
So the site must have got overloaded yesterday or the day before as I made an actual text entry and not a post telling you that I had uploaded another new track on YouTube.
Shock horror the site got a whole 6 hits!
I know it's mad to get this number of hits, I hope Google can cope with all the extra page hits to my site, I am surprised I did not get a email warning me that I was overloading them....
Actually what does amaze me, is that anybody or anything is following this site apart from me, and I don't go on this site that often.

So its a sad time as the Queen has died, this is something that I thought would not happen for another few years going by how old the Queen Mother was when she died.
No matter what you think of having a King or Queen you have to admit that she did her duty and worked very hard and kept her pledge that she made when she was Queen.

The Book I am Working on
So I started to write book on Citrus fruit.
Below is the introduction to the book, in fact its the first bit that I have so far written. I am sure that it will change a lot as time goes by, enjoy.

Citrus Introduction
Citrus
is the name of a group of trees and shrubs which belong to the Rue family of
plants.
The
four original citrus species pomelo, citron, mandarin,
and papeda), from which the rest of
cultivated citrus hybridized.
In particular, the common orange and the grapefruit are
assumed to be natural occurring hybrids between the pomelo and the mandarin,
with the pomelo providing the bigger size and greater firmness. Some of the more
common citrus fruits are:
Oranges, Grapefruits, Lemons, Mandarins, Clementines, Satsumas, Tangelos,
Tangerines, Tangors, kumquats, Bitter Orange, Limes, Citrons, Pomelos & Bergamots.
Citrus
trees grow wild in parts of India and also south-eastern Asia. The Chinese appear to have been the first to
cultivate Citrus trees, more than 4,000 years ago. These trees and shrubs have been grown in
other parts of the world for their Citrus fruits for many years e.g. 1000 odd
years or more.
Citrus
trees are thorny, but usually attractive.
They are evergreen, with long, shiny, pointed leaves. The flowers are fragrant ripe citrus fruits
may be green or yellow to orange-red in colour.
All Citrus fruits are a type of Berry that scientists call a Hesperidium
(And no I don’t have a clue what this means); Actually I have now looked it up
and most of the sources that I looked up say this sort of thing;
“Hesperidium,
is a berry with a leathery rind. The exocarp (this is the peel) contains
volatile oil glands (essential oils) in pits. The fleshy interior (or its more
proper name the endocarp) is composed of separate sections (yep, there is a
proper name for all these bits, and this is the name for these bits carpels)
filled with fluid-filled sacs (this name has got to come from some Latin word vesicles)
that are actually specialized hair cells.”
Citrus
fruits all grow in rather warm climates.
They grow best where there is almost no frost or wind. All grow in tropical regions, but produce
better fruit in a slightly cooler climate.
Citrus fruits are valuable foods.
They contain large amounts of vitamins and minerals. Citrus fruits are usually high in vitamin C,
which humans need daily if they are to stay healthy.
Citrus
plants are members of the rue family of plants, Rutaceae.
This
plant family consists of six genera:

Microcitrus

Citrus
The
Rue is a type of herb, which grows as a low shrub. Common Rue (Ruta graveolens,
commonly known as rue, common rue or herb-of-grace, is a species of Ruta grown
as an ornamental plant and as an herb. It is native to the Balkan Peninsula. It
is now grown throughout the world in gardens, especially for its bluish leaves,
and sometimes for its tolerance of hot and dry soil conditions. It is also
cultivated as a medicinal herb, as a condiment, and to a lesser extent as an
insect repellent) has deeply divided blue green leaves that have a very strong
acrid or bitter smell.
The
leaves are used sparingly to flavour meat dishes. The small yellowish flowers
are borne on stiff upright flower stalks. About 40 species of Rue are native to
Europe and Asia. Rues belong to the family Rutaceae. (Rutaceae, commonly known
as the rue or citrus family, are a family of flowering plants, usually placed
in the order Sapindales. Species of the family generally have flowers that
divide into four or five parts, usually with strong scents. They range in form
and size from herbs to shrubs and small trees) The Common rue is also called Ruta
Graveolens.
The genus Citrus is native to Southeast Asia, occurring from northern
India to China and south through Malaysia, the East Indies and the Philippines.
There are about 16 species and they are all small evergreen trees and shrubs,
usually with spines on trunks and branches.
The ecology of wild species is now hard to
establish because of drastic habitat modifications in the region as well as
extensive hybridisation between wild and domesticated plants. The history of
domestication has also been hard to establish because archaeological evidence
is lacking and it has been difficult to link names and descriptions in ancient
accounts with the actual species we know today. Records of domestication go
back to about 500 BC.
Citrus fruits are high in vitamin C, Flavonoids,
acids and volatile oils. They contain Coumarins (Coumarin is a fragrant organic
chemical compound in the benzopyrone chemical class, which is a colourless
crystalline substance in its standard state. It is a natural substance found in
many plants.) such as Bergapten (Bergapten is a psoralen found in bergamot
essential oil, in other citrus essential oils, and in grapefruit juice. It is
the chemical in bergamot oil that causes phytotoxicity. Bergapten-free bergamot
essential oil or synthetics are now used in perfumery.) which make the skin
sensitive to sunlight.
Many Citrus species and varieties are not
cultivated for producing fresh edible fruit but are sour and used for other
purposes: oil is extracted from freshly open flowers (e.g. Neroli oil (Neroli oil is an essential oil produced from the blossom of
the bitter orange tree. Its scent is sweet, honeyed and somewhat metallic with
green and spicy facets. Orange blossom is also extracted from the same blossom
and both extracts are extensively used in perfumery. Orange blossom can be
described as smelling sweeter, warmer and more floral than neroli. The
difference between how neroli and orange blossom smell and why they are
referred to with different names, is a result of the process of extraction that
is used to obtain the oil from the blooms. Neroli is extracted by steam
distillation and orange blossom is extracted via a process of enfleurage.) which
comes from Bergamot) and is used in perfumes. Leaves are used for flavouring
foods and for medicinal infusions.
Essential oils are extracted from leaves and unripe or ripe fruit and used in flavourings and for scenting toiletry products. The skin of fruit is used for making marmalade.

Looking at Stats
I was looking at the stats for this blog and what countries had accessed this Blog.
Number 1 was USA which I suppose is not a surprise as there are over 300 million people in the USA (I think, no I have not checked!) so there is always a good chance that someone in the USA could hit this Blog by mistake.
Second country was the real surprise for me in that it was France!
Well the blog is in a very poor English and I suspect that what I tend to write about really is no interest to the average French person, on top of that I have no idea how many people there are in France but it must be more than in the UK,
I am thinking that they hit the site by mistake......
How to Blog Better
Apparently the list below are things that you should do to make your blog great and get lots of readers. so I thought it would be a great idea to list them and to say what I do or don't do.
Find a niche
This I think I have done, not very well but I have done it.
Write about what you love
Write about something you love I have done this, trouble appears to be that others don't like much what I tend to write about, go figure....
Offer value
Not got a clue what this means, so I have not done this.
Focus on marketing
I dont do this, which will be the main reason why I don't get any views.
Encourage interaction
This is set up, but as no one reads the Blog it has not happened.
Make commenting easy
As above I think this is set up and when I do get a comment I do answer it.
Don't worry about negativity
Occasionally you may get the odd negative comment on your blog I have not had this and if it did happen I would not worry about it.
Don't get stage fright and believe in yourself
Gosh Blogs can get that many views, who knew?
Images, images and more images
People love images. I have tried this but its not something I have tried really hard to do, so perhaps its time to try this again, especially as storage is not an issue.
Provide easy reading
I think I do this, as most of my Blog posts tend to be very simple and short.
Give your posts punchy titles
I think I do this, not sure if they are click bait standard.
Keep it regular
This one I fail at badly in that it can be weeks between postes, perhaps something to try and improve on and see if it makes no difference.

You know I do look at the stats I am waiting for the day I can proudly say I have had 10 views of one of my posts.

This is something that I have done mainly because I cant spell.
It's a very long list and as you can see most of the items I don't do. So I shall try in the new year which as I write this is going to be 2022 and see if it make any change to the Blog.

Blog Stats
For some reason that I cant fathom I decided to look at the stats for this Blog, which as you know is a waste of time as noone looks at that Blog.
One of the recent Blog posts got 6 views which surely must be some sort of record for this blog.
One other stat that I saw was that the send most popular country to visit my Blog is Portugal!!!
I don't understand why this is as the Blog to my knowledge has until now had any mention of Portugal, and this Blog is in English not Portuguese.
So why is it so popular, popular just being a turn of phase as this Blog is not popular.
I don't know the answer.

Album Deep
Just a note to me that I have finished the Album Deep and that I have somehow also manged to post all the tracks from the album on to YouTube.
If I am lucky maybe they will get a pay by one person or two....
I don't care if there are no plays or lots of plays as Youtube is a great place to hold my music so that I can listen to it wherever I am in the world and on any device that I happen to have with me at the time.
I also happen to like listening to my own music!
Does that make me weird or what?
You never hear of other artists confirming that they like to listen to their own music do you?
Why is that?
Is making music just a job?
I dont know the answer to these questions but it would be great to find out some answers.

Why is it the all humans like music?
What is it about music that appeals to humans?
These are two questions that have been going around in my head over the last day or two
Parkrun
Don't know if I written it here before, but I now do a parkrun every Saturday that there is one running, have been doing this now since 2017, so maybe I have said something about it before?
Anyway I run each saturday 5K in the fastest time that I can, I am pleased to say that I have got a bit faster as time has gone by.
The big question is
Is it fun?
The answer is yes
The run does me good which is good it gets me out of the house, and somehow I have even manged to make some friends which is something I still find amazing as I am not an outwards going person, so to make friends is great, what is even more amazing is that most of my friends are women who I have found hard to talk to.... go figure
Perhaps because its a non threating place and time I don't feel unsafe and that I don't have to make small talk as most of the things we talk about most of the time are about running but often as not it does go into other things which so far I have not found uncomfortable in talking about.
At the time of writing this Blog I have managed to get my time to 24.22 for 5K I would love to get under 24 perhaps with some training this is something I will be able to do
Who knows?

Blog post
Looking at the Blog dashboard for this very underused blog site I noticed that somehow one of my posts was looked by 10 people, bots ect
How is that possible?
I am sure that as I don't post very often on this Blog that the bots and any humans out there wrote this Blog off years ago as a dead Blog not worth following.
I suppose by posting this Blog entry they will think that the Blog is alive again!
Who knows? maybe it might get 11 views......!!!!
Learning
Do you find it easy to learn new stuff from books?
I find that I have to break the learning down into 15 minute chunks, otherwise I find that I loose concentration and start to loose what I am reading. This must also be something that must get harder if you have not done a lot of book learning for some time.
I wonder if the brain needs to get itself back up to speed in doing book learning, so I suppose that if you are doing book learning often its easier, not Shure if age has anything to do with it either, just an idle thought.
Now test are I thin another thing that also needs practice, that I am sure of, one so you can pull the information out of your head and the second thing is getting control of your nerves while doing the test.
I have a test soon where you have to answer 60 multiple questions in 90 minutes with the added joy that some of the questions have more than one answer needed!
Or the questions ask for the correct no answer!
Real Ale
So a note to me.
Today I am drink a ale called "Old Speckled Hen" its 5% and a nice easy drink to have while blogging or just listening to music.
