Donna at Halloween

Here is Donna what wore when she went keep fit.

I decided to play with an app I have on the iPad and I think I used every filter on the same picture.

 The App is lots of fun to play with, but I think that you have to choose the base picture very carefully otherwise the end results are not what you expect.

It goes without saying that I have not yet shown Donna the results of using the App, as I am sure she would tell me just how many of these pictures to delete.

Just a note to me lots of fog today but temperatures got up to 17c.

Well I have some time so as this is my notebook I am adding some odd thoughts and also using the new features of the software that I use to write this blog.

All Mine

Just some pictures I took in early October 2016 of a town near to us called Guildford, it's not a city even though it has a rather large Cathedral which you would think would make it a city automatically, but you have to apply to some commission or other. I suspect that it will always be a town and not a city as every time they have applied they have been turned down.

All these pictures are mine every one of them. Not that you want to know this but taken on a Galaxy 7 Edge.

The High Street Clock Guildford.

This is still the Upper end of the High street and this is a rather famous for Guildford, the town clock and if I am right, it is older than the USA!

The is towards the top of the High Street in Guildford, the building with the turrets is a Grade 1 listed building, and if I remember right its older than the USA!

Looking down the High Street, I really should be able to tell you what the statute is all about, but sadly I cant as I just don't remember and I have been passed that statue hundreds of times.

As with any large town there will be a coffee shop or two, not sure how many Guildford has, but I can guarantee that it is not short in this area.

Blog Setup

So as this is my blog I can have it setup how I want the current layout has been the same for years so I shall have a look for a new template that I like.

Thing is once I have chosen a new template you wont know what the old one looked like because everything will have changed to the new template. But at least I will know that the site has been updated.

White Jeans

Donna in her white jeans, it appears that all women for some reason want to, and do wear white jeans, why this is something almost all women want to do I have no idea, but from what I have seen white jeans are what they want.

They also appear to want them as tight as possible, now there is nothing wrong with this as as as they remember not to wear very bight colored underwear for obvious reasons.

White jeans are always nice to see do they go with the red high heels?

I think that they do as the colour is a contrast to the white jeans.

I know that lots of people do and that lots don't well me I am not so sure these days.

I had a trip not that long ago where when I was told that there was another hour of flying to go I started to dread it.

I love the take off and also the landing but the bit in between I am not so sure of.

I am flying soon and I just don't know how to feel about it.

Follow up to by previous post a waving to a bot in the time that it took me to go and have a look at my blog stats, my blog post had been looked at by 5 bots as far as I can see, and for some reason one of them is in Poland and none of my blog posts have ever been in Polish on the grounds that I don't speak Polish.

So what's going on?

Siri do I speak to you

So the other day I tried an app that will let me talk to Siri and then she will try and turn my speech into text.  So far the results have been not very good, I am going to do another experiment and see if I need to have the iPad closer to me when I am talking to Siri.

Perhaps with the mic nearer to me it will make for a better recording and Siri might get and translate my speech into text better.

Wave at a bot

Hello bot or bots that appear to be looking at my blog, have you found anything worth reading or copying for your use?

I shall post this and I think as I watch the stats that it will be looked at by at least 5 bots in less than a minutes, well that's what appears to happen when I have watched my other blog posts.

Got a bit worried the other day, as I looked at the page stats for this blog. Some how one of my blogs got me 50 page hits in one day!

I know I am still shock as how such a thing could have happened, in the end I have decided that it was a mistake and that as I don't do blog posts at a regular time how can some one have found my last couple of posts?

So it's random, may be someone has a bot that looks at blogs that suddenly start posting items.. with the internet who knows?

Not sure if Siri is working that well

Well hello and welcome to another blog entry today is Monday and I think it's that On day and I think it's 10 October 2016 and it's about what time is it what is about a possible which is quite good and that today has been sunny with some cloud it is warm.

 It is warm and the big news for this blog entry as it's a notebook to myself is that I have just given my 137 pint blood and I think I should be proud of myself for donating so much blood and over so many years, it's over 20 years.

 I think I've been given blood  four times a year I have O negative blood which as you know is universal donor, so if you're in an accident and they don't know your blood type, they can give you O negative blood straightaway which could make the difference between you being dead or alive so in the United Kingdom they need 6000 pintsa day.

They need 6000 blood donors a day to keep up with demand and in the UK ,you do not get paid for for donating blood it is given freely and collected freely so there you go my 137th unit of blood.

More stuff I talk about

Hello again and welcome to another entry in my notebook or as it's cold or thoughts from high desk as you might be aware I've been doing the bloke now for quite some years even if I don't maintain and do it every single day or every single week mainly because real life appears to go Real life appears to get in the way quite often and sometimes it's because I don't really feel like doing it and stuff like that.

 As I said in an earlier post in October I was going to try a new piece of software on the iPad which lets you speak the words and then it transcribes your words into text and then from text you can actually put that into blogger  and then display on the Internet the engine the speech recognition engine is Apple's and its Siri.

 Siri can be quite accurate at least 99  of the time I suppose I don't think it's as good as Google's googles appraisal Google voice I think it's called Google voice is actually more Accra perhaps there is a caused by my horrible accent all the way that I pronounce my words oh it might even be that on my talking to quickly for Siri to understand what I'm trying to say that I think It's just to say that I think this is the fourth entry that I'm trying to see how the transcription process goes I wasn't too impressed with the earlier blog entries by the time Siri had transcribe them so I'm trying now to do the recording a little bit slower than pronounce my words a bit better in the hopes that Siri on ...

Quite a lot of the text on the last couple of occasions so this time where going to see how well she does Siri is a girl I'm sure of it anyway enough of me waffling on as I tend to do when talking to a microphone it is actually quite strange talking to a inanimate object's and trying to think what you want to say next without too many pauses if you get what I mean anyway let's see how Siri gets hold of this and how she transcribes it I have deliberately spoken slow recording and I'm trying to pronounce my words as best as I can so let's see what she makes of this bye for now

Well hello again this is a another blog entry as I haven't done one for awhile but today it's sunny Today is Sunday it's 5 to 3 in the afternoon one side of the house is in blue sky they are Is in blue sky the other side of the house is grey cloud and it's raining which is a bit unusual am I think there's only about three hours of her I think there's only about three hours of a daylight left today and it's not cold but it's not warm if you not mean about 11 or 12 C ugly It's funny that how one side the house it will be bright sunshine and blue sky and yet the other grey clouds for me and all of that I suppose the stars All of that I suppose this does happen but it's the first time for quite long time that I've seen it here in the house no I mean.

I was thinking of going out and doing some kite flying on what have you with your big power kites but there's no wind would you please There is no wind would you believe so that made it a bit pointless and then the fact that it's now started to rain that will be the other reason why I haven't bothered to go out because what's the point of getting wet getting you can't sweat and all that stuff at the outing is that from the house to where I can fly the old power traction kites.

I think is a couple of quid so if it works it works, if it doesn't then it's just a couple quid lost his neck I think actually it works on my actually end up doing more blog entries because it's quite easy to sit down and do a recording and then translate it all And then translate it will transcribe it sorry and upload it onto the web at a later stage because it's gone onto my blog I can run my blog how I want to so I can make entries in the past can't type I want to I could if I wanted to make entries and post them for the future I suppose but the main idea of this is just to see when we saw fireworks and if it can be used really to help write to your blog entry because there are things I want to say but when you sit down to keyboard and start tapping or Sit down to keyboard and start tapping away sometimes your thoughts get away from me I'm not a touch typist so I can't type as fast as I'm thinking to be our main which has on occasion been really annoying and I mean hi Clive few good ideas I wanna write down.

I just cant write down quick enough so I'm somewhere where I can't write it down even using a pen and paper, I know pen and paper gosh how how do you explain to somebody that you can use a pen and paper to record your thoughts?

Here anyway am I'm waffling on now, anyway this one just an update as I'm recording this it's still blue sky one side of the house and if you want to know on the right hand side of the house and on the left hand side the house it's grey sky but it stopped raining I am Uniforce because it was fairly bright but they're going to rain but I want you at the 43 degrees  behind your shoulders with some gorgeous photos I should say rainbow but no rainbow are such anyway.

I'm waffling on really on site it will be interesting to see how Siri copes with transcribing my awful accent much Awful accent mutterings into text and into English of some kind until the next time bye bye bye

as you can see she does not always get it right. I have not corrected her just so you can see just how good or bad she is.

I wonder if Google is any better?

Sadly at this time I cant test this as I don't have a programme or app that will let me feed my ramblings into google and get a transcript out, well I have yet to find one.

So what I have learned from this is that i need to talk to Siri a bit slower as it appears to give her a better chance of understanding what i was trying to say.

So I shall have another go and see if Siri and me start to understand each other better.

What is this all about?

So as you are no doubt gathered from looking at the blog entries I have not done a lot of login trees for quite some time I'm not really sure why perhaps it's because you have to make time to sit down at a keyboard and start writing and then upload it to the website and such is the way of life I just don't get time to sit at a keyboard and write something that's cause assuming that I've got something to write about which isn't always the case because do you really want to have a plug in true that says well today it was sunny and I went to work I came home from work I cooked I had something to eat watch the telly I went to bed phone by the way I've gone that the last X number of days exactly rather boring and well it's not what you gate up look for apparently I suppose I could say that my blog is a notebook for me and that certainly the case when I first started it before even blocks off I came out because are used to use word and use word is a diary and then when blog software became available on the block inside started to use that and literally.

I just record and literally I just record stuff that's why want to remember in years to come because it turns out that when you look back over some of your old entries that you forget and awful lot of what you do day today you know the odd thoughts that you have and stuff like that so that's why I have a bloke that doesn't get very many entries because sometimes I really haven't got any think I want to record a look at later now this blog this actual entry is been done using a voice trans coding transfer Trans coding transcribing service allegedly I can talk into the microphone for however long this is going to take and it then says it to's to the iCloud Siri apparently will then look at it and try Look at it and translate it into text and then says to result in my iCloud and then I've got to transfer from the iCloud into my blocking software so it's a bit more involved but allegedly have a quick up because I can just talk about whatever I want to talk about and Siri will do the business in translating it all into text. I don't actually believe it I don't think Siri is say I don't think Siri is going to be that Accurate on what I've been saying, so I am going to talk into the app for a few more minutes and then save it and upload it.

I'm not planning on changing any of the transcribed text mainly because I would ensure remember what I've said lie I know strange anyway sign is blocking tree is probably what the longest I've done in months in fact when I look at the logs this year 2016 I've only done 75 entries and we are on day 1 200 ordering must be over 200 days now but you must be in till Fatima's been to last hundred days less to the end of the year so I haven't done many entries because the reasons.

I said earlier anyway according to the bits of her amusing I'm talking to I have been talking for four minutes and 17 seconds which is quite amazing really I don't know me talk for that collects time is the Sunday if you're really interested it's Sunday afternoon it's a 10 to 3 in the afternoon here in the United Kingdom it's a cloudy day but with a blue sky it's not there Sky it's not raining but it's about 12 C a spouse and as I'm in the house on my own I thought let's try the sufferance Let's try this offer and see if it works so I'm going to sign off now and I will see what Siri makes of all the f stop I've been yapping about bye for now

So it's October already and I have not been very good in updates not sure if I really have an excuse other than I have lost the will to update the blog. Sadly from what I have seen on the Internet this is not a rare event. So I don't feel bad about it.

One bit of news is that I have not lost my will to create music and I am pleased to say that I am still making some 5 or more tracks a month and that they are all going on to my utube channel which is good.

Easy Saturday

I have decided that today that I am going to have an easy Saturday, and why not as I have worked hard this week and so I  think I deserve it.

Long time no speak

I have just noticed that i have not been on blogger for a long time, why this should be in just don't know all I do know is that I have not been on in a long time.

I do have things that I can talk about but for some reason or other I just don't get around to writing about it on this blog.

So I have my new phone a Galaxy S7 edge so far it has been very nice to use and its a big change from the S4 that I had before.

Went to see a musical at the Woking Victoria last night. The show I daw was Prisilla queen of the desert and i have to say the songs and coztumes were great. If you get chance have a look at it.

Creme Egg

While in London yesterday and walking every where we also went to Greek Street in Soho where cadburys have a shop/store stelling Creme egg toastes line from the shop went round the block but we did get our toaste for 2 quid each all the money going to charity

The toastey eas nice but not something you would want to eat every day as its far to rich and full of stuff you shouldnt eat.

But as something to do in London fun and silly at the same time.

Sherlock Holmes

Yesterday while in London went yo the Sherlock Holmes musem. Sadly I have to say that it eas not what I was expecting and gelt ripped off at the cost of 25 quid a ticket to walk around 7 tooms od stuff from the 1900's.

Part of the problem is that it bills itself as a musem yet nothing is labled ehich is I think something that should have been done. To me it just feels like a way of making loafs of money for no real effort.

Went to London yesterday for 11 pounds on the train which as it eas a group save was I think cheap.

Just noticed on an oak tree that I have just walked passed that the buds on it have started to swell, I asume its daylight or its getting warmer.

What I can not remember is, what I took the picture with!

I think it was a camera and not a phone were digital camera's at a price that I could afford back then,  I just don't know.

Finally the very strong winds have died down, the noise was getting to me.

Its still very windy outside as I write this. The weather people have said that the winds should die down by 8 pm, we shall have to wait and see.

So I have given blood for the 134th time!

So the weather is very windy just as they said it would be. 97 mph winds so far and this is in land.

Shy

So one of the reasons that I have this blog is that I am and have always been shy, I do find it hard to talk to people who I don't know. This shyness has been part of me since as long as I can remember. I think I have got over some of my shyness because if I hadn't I would not be married and have a family.

One of the side effects of my shyness is that I have very few friends, which at times is sad for me as there are times when I would like to have the odd friend or two to talk to about anything as and when.

So I use this blog to jot down things that I might have said to a friend. Why not the wife I hear you ask?

Well not all the things that I am interested in are of interest to her and sometimes you need me time and I am not joined at the hip we are both are own people.

So the very strong winds of yesterday have finally gone which is good. I am so glad that the weather we are having is this and not the snow and stuff like that.
