Faded Bloom

Faded Bloom

Sunrise paints the kitchen gold, dust motes dancing in the light,

Just like that morning, brave and bold, before the fading of the night.

Remember laughter, light and free, a happy secret, whispered low?

Long hair catching in the breeze, a short skirt twirling, to and fro.

Chorus:

Oh, the smiles, a fragile bloom, now withered petals on the ground,

Innocence, lost in a shadowed room, where only silence can be found.

A melody, a fading hum, a whisper of what used to be,

The sun has set, the day is done, and only memories remain with me.

Verse 2:

The swing set creaks a lonely tune, beneath a sky of fading blue,

Each rusted chain, a silent moon, reflecting tears I didn't knew,

I’d ever cry. The playground's still, the laughter's gone, a distant chime,

The world feels heavier, colder, chill, lost to the passage of sweet time.

Chorus:

Oh, the smiles, a fragile bloom, now withered petals on the ground,

Innocence, lost in a shadowed room, where only silence can be found.

A melody, a fading hum, a whisper of what used to be,

The sun has set, the day is done, and only memories remain with me.

Bridge:

The wind chimes whisper through the trees, a melancholic, sweet refrain,

Carrying echoes of the breeze, that kissed my cheek, again and again,

The sun dips low, a fiery tear, painting the clouds with shades of grey,

Leaving behind a chilling fear, that joy has flown forever away.

Chorus:

Oh, the smiles, a fragile bloom, now withered petals on the ground,

Innocence, lost in a shadowed room, where only silence can be found.

A melody, a fading hum, a whisper of what used to be,

The sun has set, the day is done, and only memories remain with me.

Outro:

Sunrise comes, but brings no cheer, just the ghost of smiles, long since gone,

Leaving behind a single tear, as the long day slowly dawns.
